Description
Moorfield House is a 19th-century house located in a row of buildings. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with Ham stone dressings, some of which are painted. The roof is made of Welsh slate and features stepped coped gables with a shallow pitch, along with brick end chimney stacks. The house has three storeys and three bays, with a Lias stone plinth. The windows are sash style, set in simple ashlar surrounds. The ground floor windows are plain with stone aprons in panels and are doubled under slim hood moulds. The first floor has 12-pane windows, while the second floor has 6-pane windows. The central entrance features a 4-panel door in a deep recess, topped by a rectangular fanlight, and is framed by a plain stone surround with a moulded flat hood or shaped brackets. There is an additional 4-panel door and fanlight in a plain surround to the right of the third bay, along with a small barred basement light in the plinth. The interior has not been seen.
