Description

ATHERSTONE MARKET STREET SP3097 (South-east side) 9/69 Nos.11 and 13 25/03/68 GV II Shops and dwellings; No.13 is now wholly a shop. Early C19, with contemporary shop fronts. Flemish bond brick, with whitewashed ground floor and moulded wood or rendered cornice. Plain-tile roof; no chimneys. Double-depth Plan. 3 storeys; 3 bays. No.13 on left has C20 half-glazed door and overlight. Segmental bay has curved 16-pane sash. No.11 has central half-glazed door and overlight, and 2 segmental bow windows with glazing bars. Both have reeded wood pilasters, and entablatures throughout. First floor has rendered sill course. Sashes and 6-pane sashes to second floor have rusticated rendered flat arches with keyblocks. Central bay has painted blind windows.
