Description

This is an 18th-century milestone attached to the front wall of The Red Lion Hotel. It is made of stone and has a triangular shape with a triangular top. The milestone is inscribed with the distances: "100 miles to London; Lutterworth 17 3/4; Lichfield 15". The lettering features 20th-century gilding.
