Description

COLESHILL STONEBRIDGE ROAD SP18NE (West side) 7/56 Wheeley Moor Farmhouse 11/11/52 - II Farmhouse. Early C18 with later additions. Red brick; hipped plain tile roof; brick ridge stack. 2 storeys and attic, with first floor band and toothed eaves band. 3-window front dominated by a central porch/staircase wing with dentilled eaves band and pyramidal roof. Central tall fixed-light glazing bar window to ground floor within a segmental arched recess, blind window above painted with imitation glazing bars. The windows to the main body of the house are C19 or C20 glazing bar sashes within C18 openings with segmental heads; attic dormers with hipped roofs. There is a C20 door to the left return of the porch. 2-storey extension set back to the right. Roughly 3 bays but irregular fenestration. Lean-to extension in front of the left hand bay, it's roof continued to the right as a canopy over a plank door. On the right hand side of the rear elevation is a C19 two-storey canted bay with hipped slate roof, C20 French casements and C19 glazing bar sashes. Interior not inspected.
