Description

Coleshill Hall Farmhouse is a stable block that incorporates a farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring sandstone quoins and plinth coping, and has a massive plain tile roof with hipped ends and a brick off-ridge stack. The building is aligned north-west to south-east, with the house occupying the south-east end of the range, while the remainder is designated for stables.

The north-east front has two storeys and five bays, with 19th-century casements that have segmental heads. To the left of the center is a half-glazed door beneath a 19th-century bracketed canopy. The right side of this front is obscured by vegetation. The south-west front, facing the farmyard, features a central door with a heavy chamfered timber frame, leading into a former through-passage. To the right of this door are two bays of segmental-headed casements. The fenestration on this side is irregular and includes two fixed-light glazing bar casements with segmental heads, along with inserted doors to the left and a loft hatch with a plank door.

Inside, the building has a late 17th-century roof structure that includes two collars and two pairs of queen struts. It is reputed to have been the former stable block for the now-demolished Coleshill Hall.
