Description

Huddlesford Grange is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and brick ridge stacks. The building has a T-shaped plan, with the main range running northeast to southwest and facing southeast, and a rear wing running northwest to southeast. It is two storeys and an attic, marked by a storey band and a toothed eaves band. The main façade has five bays, featuring glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. A canted bay window is on the ground floor to the right, and a casement window to the left. There are blind windows to the left of centre and to the right of centre. Three flat-roofed dormers, each with horizontal glazing bar sashes, light the attic. A central glazed door sits within an earlier, segmental arched opening. A mid-20th century gabled porch is located on the southwest gable. The rear wing is two storeys and an attic, and features a toothed eaves band. The interior was not inspected but is reportedly of interest, believed to contain a dog-leg staircase with turned balusters.
