Description

The Astley and Norton family memorial is a chest tomb located immediately north of the nave of the Church of St. Giles. This memorial dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. It has a rectangular plan with a moulded base and cap, and features pilasters at each corner that have gadrooned bases. There are three inscription panels on each side of the tomb, and a coat of arms is displayed on the north end.
