Description

Elford Park Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse, with later additions, built on a medieval site. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and has brick integral end stacks and an off-ridge stack. Originally composed of two parallel ranges aligned east-west and facing south, the house was extended westward in the early to mid-19th century. The 18th-century section is to the right, with a 19th-century addition attached to the left. The 18th-century part of the house is three storeys high, featuring storey bands and a dentilled eaves band; it has two bays with casement windows and a half-glazed door to the left. A single-storey lean-to extension is situated to the right. The 19th-century addition is two storeys high with a dentilled eaves band and has three bays. The outer bays are gabled and project slightly; they contain glazing bar sashes with wedge lintels. A central glazed door is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled porch.
