Description

This is a former stable and coach house, now converted into a pair of houses. It was originally built in the early 19th century and remodelled around 1980. The building is constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof and 20th-century brick stacks. It comprises a central stable range, running north-south and facing east, flanked by coach house wings that run east-west. The central range has approximately 11 bays, with projecting single-bay wings on either side. Each wing features a full-height, semi-circular blind arch that rises from an impost band. There are 20th-century casement windows with arched heads, alongside 20th-century doors to the left and right, each with a Tuscan porch, and garage doors to the right of the centre. The building is included on the heritage list because of its contribution to the wider group value of the area.
