Description

Bentilee Park Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of red brick and features a clay tile roof, with brick end stacks and a brick ridge stack. The building has an L-shaped plan, consisting of a hall range and a crosswing, with later extensions at each end. It stands two storeys tall with an attic, showcasing floor bands, a moulded eaves cornice, and vitrified headers that create diaper patterns. The facade has two bays, with the right bay gabled. The windows are casements with segmental heads that have replaced earlier windows, although the ground floor left window retains its gauged brick head and shaped key. There are two small stair windows in the attic and first floor center. The central entrance features a four-panel door with a rectangular overlight and a straight hood supported by brick pilasters.

To the left, there is a single bay extension that is one storey high with a gable-lit attic, which includes a segmental headed casement and a dentilled eaves course. To the right, there is a blind lean-to extension with a first floor band. The north elevation displays a projecting gabled crosswing on the left and the hall range on the right. The crosswing has a glazing bar casement on the ground floor and segmental headed casements on the first floor and attic, the latter featuring cast iron glazing bars. The right return of the wing has blocked ground and first floor windows. The hall range includes a segmental headed six-panelled door on the left, with the upper two panels glazed, a glazing bar casement on the ground floor right, and a casement in the first floor center with a gauged head and shaped key.

Inside, there is an early 18th-century staircase with turned balusters that extends from the first floor to the attic, along with two early 18th-century doors located in the attic.
