Description

This pair of gate piers and seats, dating from around 1600, were relocated around 1870 for Hugo Francis Meynell Ingram from Temple Newsam, which was another house owned by the Ingram family. The gate piers are made of ashlar and consist of two large square piers featuring a moulded entablature. They are topped with four ball finials and a central pyramidal finial. Attached to the south face of the piers are seats with scroll arms.
