Description
Hall Farm House is an early 18th-century farmhouse, with extensions added in the mid-18th century and late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a concrete tile roof. The house has two red brick gable stacks, one being external. A wooden eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The main three-bay section is two storeys high plus an attic. A first-floor band runs around the façade. The front features three glazing bar sashes with rendered wedge lintels to the ground floor. Above, there are two similar sashes with flush wedge brick lintels, along with a single, central, blocked window opening, also with a lintel. The attic has a single, central dormer with a rendered and concrete tile roof, and a single Yorkshire sash window.
A two-storey plus attic, two-bay wing was added in the late 18th century to the rear, featuring a red brick gable stack and dentil eaves. A single-storey red brick and concrete tile extension sits to the right of this wing. The rear wing includes a 19th-century red brick and slate lean-to with a doorway containing an 18th-century six-panel door with a fanlight featuring decorative glazing bars, and a projecting sloping hood. To the right of the doorway is a single glazing bar sash window within a segmental arch. Above this is a further single glazing bar sash. The rear wing's attic also contains a single rendered and concrete tile sloping dormer with a single tripartite Yorkshire sash window.
