Description
These stables, located approximately 30 metres east of Lightoaks Farmhouse, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from finely coursed dressed and squared Hollington red sandstone, topped with a tiled roof that features a chamfered eaves band. The long two-storey front is divided into three sections by buttresses that flank a smaller central bay. There are five openings on the upper level above five stable doors, with two windows positioned in the centre and to the right. There are also lower additions on the left and right sides. The stables form a notable group with the farmhouse, situated in a valley setting.
