Description
The Temple is a folly built in the 1850s using materials from the recently demolished Heath House, which was originally constructed by Thomas Trubshaw in the 1820s. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a circular plan set on a stepped plinth. The structure is supported by eight Ionic columns, which hold up a plain frieze, cornice, and a coursed stone dome. The Temple offers a distant and now obscured view from Heath House.
