Description
The piers and railings to the north west lodge of Heath House were built between 1830 and 1831 by James Trubshaw. They are made of wrought iron and stone. The railings create a convex arc, almost a semicircle, around the lodge on the left and a quadrant to the right of the driveway. The plain rails are decorated with panels set at approximately 3 meters apart, featuring a motif resembling a two-bladed propeller with curves. There are six piers in total, positioned at the ends and flanking both the pedestrian and carriage entries. These piers are reeded and topped with domed cappings. This structure is part of the approach to Heath House and is included for its group value.
