Description
Threapwood Lodge is a lodge built around 1840, constructed of orange brick set on an ashlar plinth, with a hipped slate roof and a brick ridge stack. The building is aligned east-west and features a semi-octagonal projection on the eastern side. The east front has one storey with overhanging eaves that are supported by braced timber piers. It includes three pointed windows with Gothic glazing bars in the central projection, and flanking doors that have four-centred heads and Gothic panels. Both the north and south sides feature a pointed window with Gothic glazing bars. Threapwood Lodge was previously a lodge for Alton Towers and is noted for being an unaltered example.
