Description

These stables and coach house date from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of red brick, with a raised band at first-floor level and a hipped, tiled roof with cogged eaves. A stack is located at the rear. The design is in a T-shape.

The front elevation is two storeys high. A hipped projection to the right features a range of three-light casement windows. The ground floor, originally an entrance, has a wedged head and keystone. The set-back wing has two pairs of widely spaced casement windows to the first floor, set above an elliptically arched carriage arch to the left, with double boarded doors. To the right of the carriage arch is a stable entry alongside a stable window; both have segmental heads, though the openings have been altered. The building is included on the list for its group value.
