Description
This barn, located approximately 15 meters east of Booth's Farmhouse, is likely from the mid-18th century, with a significant addition from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed dressed and squared stone, topped with a tiled roof and features verge parapets. The barn has a long front, measuring around 30 meters, and is divided into two levels: a hay loft above cattle sheds, which is split into two sections. The northern section is taller and smaller, with vents in the attic above two doors at either end and a pair of casement windows in between. The larger, lower section, dating from the early 19th century but possibly incorporating earlier materials, includes three hay loft doors, one of which has a heavy lintel that may suggest a 17th-century origin.
