Description
This is a barn located approximately 5 meters east of Catswall Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century with alterations from the mid-19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed dressed and squared stone, featuring a tiled roof with a chamfered eaves band on the left and a brick band at the right end. The barn has a two-level plan, with a hay loft above cattle sheds. The front has five windows, with three located to the right of a large stone buttress and two widely spaced to the left. The inner left window has a heavy lintel and was formerly the entry for a through-passage. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
