Description

This barn, located approximately 10 meters north of The Stones Farmhouse, dates back to 1680, although it may feature some re-used stone. It has undergone alterations in the late 19th century. The structure is built from coursed dressed and squared stone with a tiled roof and verge parapets. It has a two-level plan, with a hay loft situated above cattle sheds. On the east side, there are two hay loft doors above two entrances; the left-hand entrance has a heavy lintel and is currently blocked. To the right, there are two windows. A datestone set into the south gable is inscribed with "T.M. 1680," which is comparable to the date of the farmhouse, which is 1686.
