Description
The Shropshire Union Canal Aqueduct, which carries the canal over the River Penk, was opened in 1843 and designed by engineer Thomas Telford. It is constructed from rough faced ashlar and features rusticated voussoirs. The aqueduct has a single semi-elliptical arch.
