Description
The Old Hattons is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. The building is cement rendered and may have originally been timber framed. It features a clay tile roof with raised verges and brick stacks. The plan is U-shaped, and the farmhouse has two storeys with a symmetrical arrangement of windows: one window on the left, one in the center, and one on the right. There are large projecting gabled wings on both the left and right sides, each with floor bands. The right-hand wing has a 19th-century angled bay window on the ground floor, and all the windows are casements. A 20th-century glazed porch with a glazed door is located in the recessed center of the building.
