Description
The milepost located at SJ 891 060 on the Shropshire Union Canal dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. It features a circular post with a domed top and a cambered plate that is divided into three panels. The inscriptions on the panels indicate the distances to various locations: Nantwich 36 miles, Authersley 3 miles, and Norbury Junction 12½ miles.
