Description
The Shropshire Union Canal Aqueduct, built around 1830-1833, is a notable structure designed by Thomas Telford. It features a plain and functional design, with both sides being similar in appearance. The aqueduct is constructed of brick and has stone coping. It consists of a single, tall semi-circular arch and is flanked by diagonally splayed wing walls.
