Description

Malthouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later re-facing and additions. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill panels on the ground floor and in the added bays, topped by a brown machine tile roof with off-centre and end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has an approximately three-bay front, with a gabled projecting early 19th-century wing to the right of centre and a door located at the right end. The windows are casements from the 19th and 20th centuries, and the front door has a moulded surround and five moulded panels. There is a toothed eaves course, and most of the timber frame is exposed in square panels at the rear of the building.
