Description
Grey House Farmhouse is an early 19th-century building located on the south side of High Street in Wheaton Aston. It is constructed of red brick, with the front rendered, and features a Welsh slate roof with end stacks. The farmhouse is two stories high and has gable-lit attics, presenting a three-window front with a central entrance. Notable architectural details include a raised eaves band, modelled stacks with stone-dressed cornice capping, and articulated flues. The windows are casements with stone cills, and the doorway is framed by a pilastered surround topped with carved console brackets supporting a cornice hood. The entrance also features a fanlight with a glazing bar above a six-panelled door. In front of the garden, there are cast iron spearhead railings supported by stone and brick pillars.
