Description

This canal milepost, located approximately 50 yards north of Brewood Bridge, was established when the canal opened in 1843 and was engineered by Thomas Telford. It is made of cast iron and features a T-shaped plate divided into three panels, indicating the distances to Nantwich (34 miles), Autherley Junction (5 miles), and Norbury Junction (10 and a half miles).
