Description

An 18th-century barn and granary stands approximately 5 yards north-east of Blue Gates Farmhouse. Constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof featuring raised verges and a brick ridge stack, the building is a 4-bay range aligned north-west/south-east. It combines a 3-bay barn section to the north-west with a single-bay granary to the south-east. The structure has one storey with an eaves band. Full-height barn doors are located to the left of centre, accompanied by vertical air vents on both sides. The right-hand gable includes tallet steps and a loft door with a segmental head. Inside, the barn features a king-post roof with single purlins.
