Description

A row of five cottages located on Alrewas Road in King’s Bromley, dating largely to the 17th century with subsequent alterations. The cottages are timber-framed with plaster infill panels, and have a plain tile roof with three brick ridge stacks. They are two storeys in height, with a raised eaves level. The front of the cottages has five windows, featuring 20th-century casement windows. Exposed timber framing is visible on the front, consisting of two tiers of square panels with straight braces. Internally, the cottages feature exposed rear wall framing, as well as internal trusses and heavy chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. The cottages are included in the list for their group value.
