Description

This is a milepost located approximately 50 yards southwest of Prestwood Lane in Denstone, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "QUIXHILL PARISH," while the left-hand face shows "ELLASTONE 1¼ / ASHBOURNE 6," and the right-hand face displays "ALTON 3 / CHEADLE 7."
