Description
This is a milepost from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape and an inclined head that is set about 900 millimeters above the ground. The front of the milepost is inscribed with "ROLLESTON," while the left side displays "NEWBOROUGH 2½/ABBOTS/BROMLEY 6," and the right side shows "BURTON 5." There is a partially obscured maker's inscription at the base, which reads "TIPTON."
