Description
This is a milepost from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape and an inclined head that is set 600 millimeters above the ground. The head is inscribed with the name "ROLLESTON." The left side of the milepost features the distances to Newborough (3½ miles), Marchington (6½ miles), and Abbots Bromley (7 miles), while the right side indicates the distance to Burton (4 miles).
