Description

This is a milepost located on Derby Road in Stretton, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a circular shape with an enlarged domed head that stands about 400 millimeters above the ground. The milepost is inscribed on the left side with "BURTON/2/MILES" and on the right side with "DERBY/9/MILES".
