Description

This is a barn located approximately 10 yards west of Church View Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick and has a clay tile roof. The barn has a T-shaped plan and consists of a single range with a central projection to the east.

The structure is one storey high with a loft and features a dentilled eaves course. It has five roof bays. The central gabled break has two phases and a catslide roof to the right, with a vertical joint to the right of the center. The right section has flared headers and a segmental-headed door, while the left section features a stable-type door. To the right of the central break, there is a large cart entrance with a two-leaf door, a boarded segmental-headed door to the left, and a small boarded opening above. On the left side of the central break, there are segmental-headed doors to both the right and left of center, two inserted windows with concrete lintels to the left and right of center, and a small segmental-headed opening between the left-hand door and window. The north gable includes nesting holes and flight platforms, while the south gable has a segmental-headed loft door.

Inside, the barn features three upper cruck roof trusses, with most of the roof members made from re-used timber.
