Description

Northwood House is a house dating from the 18th century, remodelled in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and a brick ridge stack. The building follows a lobby entry plan, with two storeys and an attic. The facade has a floor band and a moulded eaves course, and features three windows with 16-pane glazing bar sashes and shaped lintels; a 20th-century bay window has been inserted to the ground floor on the left. The central door is a six-panelled door with a shaped head. Northwood House occupies a prominent position on the main street running through the town.
