NEW ROAD 1. 1756 Mile Post (1 mile from Uttoxeter) SK 03 SE 2/96 II 2. Early C19. Painted cast iron. Semi-circular back plate lettered "London 140: Liverpool 71", and on the splayed sides, "Newcastle 17 miles: Uttoxeter 1 mile".
