Description
The Wellington Inn, dating from 1756, is located on the east side of High Street. It is believed to have origins in the late 17th century or early 18th century, suggested by the pitch of the roof. The building has been modernised, featuring roughcast walls, updated window openings, and a roof that is now covered with tiles instead of the original stone-capped gable ends. The structure includes stone quoins and a surround for a 19th-century door. There are four later wooden casement windows with cambered heads and plain eaves. The Wellington Inn, along with Nos 80 to 92 (even), forms a group of buildings with historical significance.
