Description

ROLLESTON C.P. CHURCH ROAD SK 22 NW 11/64 - Churchyard railings and gate approximately l00m to west of Church of St Mary GV II

Churchyard railings. Late C18 or early C19, possibly resited. Wrought and cast iron. Approximately 30m long, running north from south-west corner of churchyard and approximately 2m high; spearheads with top rail close to heads and dog rails below with ogee-curved connections to main verticals. Top rail is ramped up to gateway set towards north end, with bordered, framed surround elaborately crested over sides and centre; square-headed gate (which fills frame) has dog rails and scrolled motifs to centre and head.
