Description

The lamp post at the junction of Dale End and The Wharfage Road was erected in 1897. This ornamental cast-iron lamp post features a fluted round shaft that stands on a round pedestal, topped with a Corinthian capital. The lettering on the lamp post indicates that it was funded by public subscription to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of 1897. It was cast at Coalbrookdale.
