Description

The lamp post located outside 35 Low Pavement was erected sometime between 1896 and 1902. It is made of cast iron and stands at the roadside edge of the pavement. The lamp post features a circular base with an inset medallion and a fluted plinth topped by a foliate bulb. The tall, slender column consists of two parts, adorned with a decorative collar and a ladder rest. At the top, there is a tulip-design baluster that transitions into a half-circle bracket decorated with scrolls and a cast flower. The lamp post has been re-lamped with an enclosed lantern.
