Description

This lamp post, located opposite number 78 on Octagon Road in Whiteley Village, dates from around 1912. It is made of cast iron and features a square, four-legged base with a diagonally framed basket top. The lamp post has a tapering standard that supports a lantern adorned with a decorative finial, which is mounted on a double scroll-work arm that curves in an S-shape.
