Description
Three lamp-posts are fixed beside the footpath that leads from Lands End Road down to the Jolly Sailor Public House. These lamp-posts date from the late 19th century and are made of cast iron, featuring a cylindrical column with a plain plinth and a balustraded form. The slightly tapering shaft is decorated with a raised spiral design and includes a ladder bar. At the top, there is a series of mouldings and a glazed lamp container made of copper, which is square and mounted on curved corner brackets. The lamp-posts have a corner motif, a finial, and mouldings above a flat pyramid roof. They are situated alongside a steep and narrow footpath that provides access to the foreshore level, as well as to Ewers, the Jolly Sailor Public House, and Myrtle Cottage.
