Description

The Elms is a mid-19th century brick house located on Buildwas Road in Coalbrookdale. It is a two-story building with a buff-coloured brick facade and a fish-scale tile roof with gabled ends. The roof features ornate openwork bargeboards with finials and pendants. The front of the house has a three-window arrangement, with a projecting gabled bay on the left side. The windows are casements with glazing bars, and some have pedimental lintels with dripmoulds. A large, modern brick porch has been added to the front. Chimney stacks are notable for their groups of circular shafts with spiral mouldings, finished with octagonal stone caps.
