Description

Nos 1 and 3 The Green are a pair of timber-framed cottages dating from the 17th or 18th century, which were faced in brick in the mid to late 19th century as estate cottages. They feature a steeply pitched tiled roof with gabled ends and wide eaves, and are one storey with an attic. The cottages have a three-window range, with 19th-century and modern casements, and 19th-century gabled dormers. There is a 19th-century or modern gabled porch and an off-centre brick ridge stack. A modern extension is located at the rear of No. 3. These cottages are included for their group value.
