Description
Honeysuckle Cottage and Mill House are a pair of cottages dating from around the 17th century, with significant alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. Mill House features a rendered front and a one-bay stone rubble extension to the north, while Honeysuckle Cottage is faced in whitewashed brick. Both cottages have tiled roofs with gabled ends and are one storey high with an attic, comprising a five-window range. They include modern casements and four late 19th-century gabled dormers at the eaves level. There are also two gabled porches from the 19th or 20th century and two brick ridge stacks. At the rear of Honeysuckle Cottage, there is a gabled timber frame wing. Inside, Mill House retains some exposed timber-framing in the north end wall, while Honeysuckle Cottage features exposed timber framing and a stepped chamfer ceiling beam.
