Description

The Cottage is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage that is partly covered in stucco and largely faced in brick, dating from the early 18th century, and is now painted. It features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends; the east end has a brick parapet and an internal stack, while the west end displays exposed timber framing. There is another brick stack located off centre. The cottage is one storey and has an attic, with a three-window range consisting of two and three-light casements with glazing bars set in segmental headed openings. It includes one gabled dormer and a 19th-century gabled brick porch with a stone drip mould. At the rear, there is a two-storey brick wing from the 18th century that forms an L-plan.
