Description

The Infant School, dated 1853, is a small classical building constructed from buff-colored brick. It features a three-bay front with a moulded stone pediment that has a circular opening fitted with a cast iron grille. The building is accented by brick corner pilasters and has round-arched windows with glazing bars on either side of a central porch that is also pedimented. Above the porch, there is a stone plaque inscribed with "Infant School MDCCCLIII". The roof is made of slate, and there are round-arched windows on the sides.
