Description

39 and 40 Church Street are early to mid 19th century houses built from ashlar with a buff-coloured brick front. They have a plain tile roof with gabled ends and brick dentil eaves. The buildings rise three storeys and feature a six-window range. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set under flat voussoired arches that include keyblocks. There are two pilastered doorways, each with entablatures and panelled doors. Notably, No. 39 has a ground floor bay window that dates from the early 20th century.
