Description

Peartree Cottage is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage with painted brick infill panels. It has a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends. The cottage is one storey high with an attic. It originally had two windows, with a small casement window and a more modern three-light casement window. A gabled dormer window is located on the left-hand side. Around the 18th century, a one-bay sandstone extension was added to the north (left) side, and a later extension was built on the south side. A brick ridge stack is present.
