Description

No. 22 Abbey Foregate is a house that is now used for commercial purposes. It was built in the early 18th century and is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof. The building has three storeys and features a three-window range. The late 19th-century shop front has been restored and includes fluted moulding on the architrave and a central swept pediment on the fascia. The windows are 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads. There is a moulded wood modillion eaves cornice, and the gables are coped with moulded kneelers. At the back, there is a parallel range with crow-stepped coping on the gable.
